Connecting sources

Connect Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Vertica, and Supabase, or upload CSV, Excel, and JSON files.

Supported Data Sources

canTrust connects to the databases and warehouses your team already uses. All connections are encrypted in transit (TLS) and credentials are stored with AES-256 encryption at rest.

Cloud Data Warehouses

  • Snowflake — connect via account URL, warehouse, database, and schema. Supports key-pair authentication.
  • Google BigQuery — authenticate with a service account JSON key. Automatic project and dataset discovery.
  • Databricks — connect through your workspace URL and personal access token. Supports Unity Catalog.

Relational Databases

  • PostgreSQL — direct connection via host, port, database, and credentials. Supports SSL and SSH tunnels.
  • MySQL — standard TCP connection with optional SSL certificates.
  • Supabase — connect using your project URL and service role key.
  • SQL Server (MSSQL) — Windows and SQL authentication supported.
  • Vertica — JDBC-compatible connection for analytics workloads.

File Uploads

  • CSV & Excel — drag-and-drop upload. canTrust auto-detects column types, headers, and encoding.
  • JSON — nested structures are flattened into queryable tables automatically.
  • Google Drive & OneDrive — connect your cloud storage and import spreadsheets directly.

How Connection Works

  1. Navigate to Data Sources in the sidebar and click Add Connection.
